Enjoy it once more,
Go on, it’s still summertime…
Swimming down river,
Chasing their doting duck mom…
A bird is free now,
I saw the shell on the ground…
They’re not that scary,
Just glass and tubes and people…
Quick! Out of the sea!
Or don’t, they’re not that common…
How much time will pass,
Before they’re dried into skulls…
Pop open champagne,
Or juice, or just anything…
We just need a touch,
A held hand, hug at night, love…
