Perhaps the real reason,
so many people,
fear the footsteps above them,
is not because they actually have,
any real reason to fear,
that someone is inside,
or above them,
but just the idea,
that when they go to sleep,
someone can sneak up,
and say “boo,”
and no one wants,
to get scared,
by the lowest form of horror around.
