When you’re hiking,
you’re supposed
to have good trail etiquette,

Walk in the middle,
right through the mud,
keeping nature
tidy in its place,

And leaving nothing,
On the side in your wake,

It’s a good habit to have,
because all trails cut through,
some little critter’s home,

And it’s not fair to leave a mess,
just because you want to roam,

And it’s better to trudge through,
than roll your foot on unsure stones.
