You can’t lock yourself
out if you never leave…
Door
only a slice,
up the stairs,
hemmed in
by stone walls…
Could you imagine,
a greater wall in the world…
If the storm’s raging,
and the door is shaking loud…
Hold the door, won’t you,
my arms are wee a bit full…
A brass lion guards,
The way through the too tall doors…
If there were five doors,
Lined along a single wall…
