When you make your new year’s resolutions, after you put on the one about that gym membership, and the totally going to work new diet…
the only way it stops
hurting
is for you to come back
to us,
and I know that won’t
happen…
I’m stuck in my own head,
I can’t see past the next
twenty-four
to forty-eight hours…
There’s no such thing as fast forward,
not yet anyway…
Tonight I’m going home.
I’m pumping my arms-
faster is better when porch…
Finding my way through an old place,
feels like walking into my life,
as if it was on pause…
If someone asked,
what price you would pay,
to reach your hopes and dreams…
On a hard day,
it helps to focus,
on moving forward…
