I was daylight
in the middle of your night…
You close your eyes,
you can sleep on the couch,
no problem…
the orange lingering beneath blue
expanse after the sun sets…
Turn off the lights
before you fall asleep…
Hell is a great, bright light
and I am a moth…
I, too, paint sunflowers.
Color dances in the light, …
Shining but askew,
reflections on every wall…
Do you really think,
that someone once actually thought,
that they saw lightning from above…
Quiet
does not equal
silent
