the tree sways in the wind,
leaves drift left and right,
downward and downward,
baby rocking in mother’s arms…
Tree
pearls sewn on wedding
dresses, shining…
be still and know
that your heart
cannot literally
beat out of your chest…
A tree looked downward, to see the ground was long gone…
we are two trees,
you and I,
we sit next to each
other, not looking…
I watch the birds that land
in the tree outside my window,
but when I’m looking at my screen…
you know
the whole get a giant tree thing seemed like a way cooler idea…
Point of view,
you’re looking over hills,
undulating with heather
and shrubbery…
Hello sun,
hello shade,
hello hand reaching out….
only a slice,
up the stairs,
hemmed in
by stone walls…
